Planned Pethood Clinic
We opened our low cost spay/neuter clinic in 2000
Our goal at our Planned Pethood Clinic is to stop the needless killing of healthy dogs, cats, puppies, and kittens by reducing pet overpopulation.
High volume, low cost, spay/neuter is essential to reduce the number of animals entering shelters and pounds every year.
As of October 1, 2025, our clinic has provided
80,765 spay/neuter surgeries.
Our affordable spay/neuter prices are
subsidized by donations

Adoption Center
Since opening our Adoption Center in 2009, we've created a loving, vibrant space where homeless pets find safety and care while they await their forever homes. With large windows and a high-visibility location, we showcase our pets in a bright, inviting environment that encourages everyone to embrace the message: "Adopt, don't shop."
On the upper level, our spacious yet cozy Cat Rooms offer a safe, enriching environment for cats and kittens to explore and relax. Large storefront windows flood the space with natural light, providing both visual stimulation and plenty of opportunities for our curious kitties to watch the world outside. They love climbing to perches atop towers and condos, playing with an array of toys (and, of course, cardboard boxes!), racing around with their friends, and curling up for naps on soft blankets in quiet, peaceful cubbies
On the lower level, our dogs relax on comfy beds in spacious Doggie Dens. We’ve also added outdoor kennels for daytime use, and they enjoy supervised playgroups in large, fenced areas—whether they’re chasing a Jolly Ball with their den mates or splashing around in wading pools on a warm summer day. For our more energetic pups, there’s a dedicated Puppy Play Yard where they can burn off some steam with outdoor romps. Each day, our staff and volunteers take the dogs on walks along a scenic wooded trail behind the Humane Society, offering them a change of scenery and plenty of one-on-one attention.
The original part of the building is home to our Planned Pethood Clinic on the lower level, while the upper level features the staff kitchen, break room, and offices.
Every animal that comes into our care receives a thorough examination from one of our experienced veterinarians, and our dedicated medical team ensures they are fully vaccinated, tested, and dewormed. As soon as possible, they are spayed/neutered and microchipped, so they’re ready to find their forever homes. Animals needing extra care are treated in our quarantine room or clinic, where they can recover in a safe, isolated space to prevent the spread of illness.
Please stop in to say hello to our animals! Whether or not you're ready to adopt, our dogs are always happy to go for a walk, and our cats and kittens love to play or just enjoy quiet company.

Purrfect Treasures
We opened our Purrfect Treasures fundraising store in 2007. Located next door to our Adoption Center, all proceeds go to care for the animals at the Adoption Center. You will find beautiful new home décor donated by Uttermost and a great "thriftique" shop
